Which feeling is more dangerous? Fear of not have? or Fear of losing what you have?
In today’s world, most people have more than what they want and still have the fear of losing. And hence have no heart to share anything with others.
Before you jump with statistics on poor in third world country, let me clarify what the above sentence was supposed to mean.
What do you need to live a peaceful life?
Money, lots of money? No.
Villas and Guesthouses? No.
Enough time to party in 5-star hotels? No.
So, what is it needed for a good & peaceful life?
All it needs is a heart that is content with what you have. You don’t agree? Please read on.
It’s not always about Money
Money can buy many things, but can it buy sleep? I know people say yes, Money can at least buy a good place good for sleep. True. But still the answer to sleep?
Gone are the days when people smile and greet every other human they meet daily.
You start with a beautiful day. You head out to your office. When you start noticing other people on your way to parking lot, what is it that comes first to your mind?
Can I smile at him? What if he uses the opportunity to claim some benefit from me? Should I just ignore him?
There are plenty of questions, and before you find an answer either you pass him or start the question from the beginning again for the next person that passes by.
Why so much confusion? What caused you to switch to such a questioning-mode within you?
My straight answer is MEDIA that you watch every day, NEWS that you read every day.
Yes, today, media has successfully portrayed different pictures to every color & race.
When you see someone, your mind spontaneously goes to that questioning-mode to distinguish which category the other people fall. And your reaction is based on the category.
Its mostly like this.
You never like a people because they are good. You see people are good because you like them.
And this is true not just for the friends and neighbors. its same logic for every other person on earth, be it an actor, star, politicians etc.
Did we always have this fear?
We were not like this before. But now every other person has some sense of fear in him – how good he may earn and live.
The rich are always in fear of the robbery, theft, business falls etc.
Poor is always in fear of not getting food for the next day.
The middle class is even worst. He fears from both situations of poor & rich. He is afraid if whatever little he has got may be lost. And if so, what he can do for the next day meal.
This is what happens when people are so tied to the monetary principles.
What is this fear of losing?
If you closely watch, all these fears are closely tied to the Money. And fear is mostly on other people – what if they take it?
And this fear was not natural. It was fed into your mind by the media. Be it mass media or the Social media.
Media keeps screaming that someone stole from the bank. Mind registered the human as being thief.
Some politicians made scams worth millions. Mind registers all people in social life are only for grabbing money.
All these repeating news registers in your mind to say this – OK. humans take away things we have. Period.
Power of Positive
If there were news all around about the positives of the humans?
It could be as small as a favor could be, like a lady helping an old man crossing the road. Or a man helping someone offering food and shelter for the poor. Anything.
Slowly this positive news will form a layer on your mind saying not all humans are bad.
And one fine day your mind will be erased of bad humans being present in the society. People will start feeling of living happily.
I would say no one will be ever poor again. Well, if you always measure poor and rich by the monetary value, then everyone will be poor.
I am measuring it with the quality of life and happiness and peace they have.
Smile is a small curve that can straighten many things.
Don’t you think this quote is true?
So, do not fear of losing what you have. Be content with what you have.
In the search for something you don’t have, please do not miss the opportunity to appreciate and enjoy the life with what you have.
There are still millions of people who care for you in this world. You care for them, forget about the negative people in the society. But do care for them too. And share your happiness with others. All it takes to share the happiness is to SMILE.
SMILE and take others MILES forward in their life!!!
Because together we can build a better society. And we SHOULD.
Did you like the post? Will you share the happiness? I know, you do.
