A to Z Challenge – it’s something we all did as kid in the kinder garden.
It is the same A for apple, B for Ball, but in a new genre. It is no more about a word, but about an entire article that you can come up with that alphabet. And the articles are to be posted one per day consecutively in the Month of April.
Sounds interesting isn’t it?
Last year when I started my blog on this new domain, little I knew about these challenges.
I came to know about this A2ZChallenge just a few days before it was to begin and so took up the challenge without the theme reveal posts. But I did stick on to what I love the most – Travel.
Yes, I posted on each of the cities that I visited in the past. Finding the cities to match the day of the Alphabet was not an easy one, but that is the challenge, right? So I took it and made it happen.
Interested to know about the struggle I had and how I made it last year? Then do not miss to read my Reflection post.
This year when the announcement was made, I was really in a dilemma. No, it is not the fight to decide to-go or not-to-go with the challenge. Its always a YES to do it.
But it was more about whether to stick to a theme or not.
If I had a theme it will help me to focus & concentrate the research to a particular area. But at the same time, it means when I don’t find a fitting article I would be handicapped.
If I keep the theme open, then there are too many options wide open in front of me. Too many options do spoil the fun, at least for me. Remember the little kid in the candy shop? Yes, I would be running towards every jar not able to pick one!!!
So, here is my theme for the challenge. This year it is all about water. Why?
Water, a basic need for every living planet on earth. All the civilization started all along the water bodies. Our ancestors had abundant resource. Cut it to the 21st century. Can we say the same today?
Looking at the way the water bodies are vanishing from the planet, it would not be wrong to say that the next world war could even be for WATER!!!
So, with all these thoughts, I wanted to commence this journey. I cannot invent or discover new water bodies. But all I can do is to find those already in here. And bring it to my reader’s notice on how much gifted we are to have those still flowing.
Be it a lake or river or sea, we should take care.
If we are not going to take care of them now, then our kids may not be reading W as in Water, but W as in Wasted!!!
Friends, wish me luck. Hopefully, I withstand this challenge and emerge victorious.
Let the water flow begin!!!
